Shirley Jean (Yaser) Lindley died on March 29, 2019, following a battle with COPD and CHF. Shirley was born in Evansville, Indiana to Arthur William (Bud) Yaser and Imogene Shirley (Bradbury) Yaser on July 20, 1939. She graduated from the St. Mary’s School of Nursing and worked tirelessly many years as an RN, especially loving the time spent in the Emergency Room.
Shirley is survived by her son, Nathan Lindley (Jennifer Jones) and grandchildren, Morgan and Colton; her sister, Vickie Yaser (David Hennessy); and many terrific nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Bonnie Lou Reynolds and Toni Lee Sandefur, and by her beloved Gizmo.
Shirley enjoyed dancing, nursing, taking care of her many pets, crafts, and in the end, coloring beautiful pictures. Shirley’s family would like to thank the current and former staff and residents of Bloom at German Church, who cared for and loved her.
Plans are to hold a celebration of Shirley’s life this summer.
